We have recently moved to “Sixth and Sixth” in Uptown New Westminster adjacent to the historic Queens Park Heritage residential area, making it easy for you to access our modern dental office. In our warm, relaxed, friendly environment, we have provided care for generations of families. Our team comprises 2 dentists, a dental hygienist, 3 certified assistants, and an office administrator. Meet the Special Team Behind Our Practice

Dr. Dan Czerniecki

Dr Dan Czerniecki was born and raised in the West Kootenay region of British Columbia. He received both his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of British Columbia. He then went to Williams Lake B.C. where he practiced as a dental associate for 4 years, gaining valuable experience in all aspects of general dentistry. He returned to the lower mainland where he practiced in Burnaby, sharing his clinic with Dr Clement Lear, former head of the Orthodontic Department of UBC. There he developed his skill and a keen interest in orthodontics. He subsequently moved to New Westminster where he has practiced for the past 12 years. “Dr Dan”, as he is referred to by the many children in his practice, believes strongly in patient-centred family practice. He enjoys the challenge of meeting the unique interests and needs of his patients with careful consideration and a high standard of care.

When he is not in the office, Dan can often be found in his yard, where he spends long hours in his bird and bee-friendly garden. He also enjoys an active lifestyle with a special interest in hiking snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

Dr. Josh Lombardi

Dental Associate

Dr Josh Lombardi was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. He completed his Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology in 2012 at Western University in London, Ontario. He went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery also at Western in 2017, graduating with distinction. He decided to return home to beautiful British Columbia and has been dedicating his time to his patients ever since!

Dr Lombardi has a keen interest in all aspects of dentistry and regularly takes professional continuing education to stay up to date on the latest and greatest in the field of dentistry. He takes pride in getting to know each and every one of his patients so that he can tailor his care to their special needs and values. Dr Lombardi is a firm believer that excellence in oral health is fundamental to long-term systemic well-being.

Outside the office, Dr Lombardi enjoys staying active, playing sports, skiing, and has a love for good food and travelling.

Our Staff

Selina

Selina is our registered dental hygienist. She has been with our team for more than 10 years. Selina’s positive, upbeat nature enables her to provide dental care in a relaxed, stress-free environment. She is committed to personalized, gentle, quality care which enables her to build a lasting relationship with her patients, with a goal of achieving excellence in their dental health.

In her free time, Selina enjoys travelling to new exotic places, camping, and being active outdoors.

Stella

After completing her Dental Therapist Diploma in Hong Kong, Stella immigrated to Canada to pursue her career as a Certified Dental Assistant. She has been working with “Dr Dan” ever since. She obtained her Orthodontic Module at UBC and her Prosthodontic Module at VCC. Stella treasures her relationship with her patients and has a special gift with children. She always tries her best to provide a relaxing comfortable atmosphere, and her contagious laughter is often heard throughout the office. She truly believes a warm smile is worth a thousand words.

Stella enjoys trying new foods and travelling, and especially loves to spend time with family and friends.

Carol

For more than 15 years, Carol, our office administrator, has enjoyed getting to know our patients on a personal level, enabling her to adjust appointment scheduling to their unique situations. With her experience and knowledge, she is extremely helpful in assisting them with the sometimes cumbersome insurance policies and issues. She likes to make everyone feel welcome and is known for her sense of humour. When not at work Carol, enjoys camping, travelling, and trying to keep up with her energetic dog, Gator.

Araceli

After moving from Mexico to Vancouver, Araceli graduated as a Certified Dental Assistant from MTI College. The newest member of our team, her career in dentistry has been very rewarding as she enjoys helping and meeting people. She is proud of her work and strives to provide the best care for the patients. Araceli’s gentle nature and calm demeanour are contagious with both patients and the rest of our dental team.

Outside of dentistry, you will find her with her husband doing outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, camping, and walking her dog, Angus.

Jessie

Jessie is a lifelong New West’er. After graduating from New Westminster Secondary School, she qualified as a Certified Dental Assistant at VCC. Jessie is an energetic and compassionate person who loves her career as a CDA. For the almost 15 years Jessie has been with us, she has utilized her skills and upbeat personality to ensure the patient visit to Uptown Park Dental is fun and enjoyable.

Outside of the office, Jessie enjoys spending time with her 2 young boys, baking and cooking goodies with them, and taking them to their various after school activities.
